Lost at Sea is a newly formed band from Edwardsville, Illinois
that consists of four individuals who write and perform their own
original music. The band includes Robin Hileman (f/k/a Robin Bettonville)
on vocals and rhythm guitar, Shae Hileman on lead guitar and vocals,
Ryan Hentz on drums and Jim Stotts on bass guitar.
All four members have been a part of the St. Louis area music scene
for the last eight years. Robin and Shae are former members of the
mid 90's band Bionica. Their song "Tired" was featured
on Pointessential Volume 2. While with Bionica, Robin was listed
in the Riverfront Times as being among the top ten female vocalists
in St. Louis. After Bionica broke up in 1995, Robin went on to perform
various solo acoustic gigs and Shae joined Birmingham Squadron.
Their song "New Thing" was featured on Pointessential
Volume 4. Ryan and Jim performed with 3 Penny Nickel from 1997 to
1998. Jim then joined Fine Wine, which later changed its name to
The Cradles, and Ryan went on to play with Monotremes from 1999
to 2001.
The band is currently working on a full-length recording that they
hope to release early next year. In a year and a half Lost at Sea
has written over 20 songs and are still writing more. The band looks
forward to expanding their fan base and playing everywhere they
possibly can.
